      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      Managerial Tasks

      • Evaluate data and make recommendations to the Youth Program Director regarding youth development programs

      • Schedule youth programs staff and ensure shift coverage

      • Schedule and facilitate periodic youth programs staff meetings to review procedures, policies, department changes, etc.

      • Respond to all issues and injuries in youth programs; complete and submit proper documentation

      • Train new staff

      • Ensure staff is following and maintaining proper policies & procedures

      • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Youth and Sports Director and/or the General Manager

      Youth Development Programs

      • Organize youth development programs and classes

      • Organize and update rosters and binders

      • Create and maintain curriculums for classes

      • Collect payments for youth programs prior to start of program

      • Evaluate and make changes to improve each program

      • Provide quality guest service for youth programs and other guests

      • Communicate with parents and staff regarding upcoming events and programs

      • Monitor Youth Program budget

      General

      • Order supplies and equipment when necessary and within budgeting requirements

      • Assist the Youth Program Director in the creation and maintenance of new youth development programs

      • Assist the Youth Program Director in engaging potential vendors for new programs

      • Create invoices for vendor programs

      • Attend marketing events as required

      • Reach out to local organizations (e.g. daycares, religious organizations, etc.) to expand class offerings

      This is a non-supervisory position.

      Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

      Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

      Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

      Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

      Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have working knowledge of Google (docs, sheets, slides, drive, etc.). Upon hire and training, the individual must be able to successfully utilize the following:

      • Training & Curriculum to include CTP in Dash
      • Facility Guest registration software
      • Facility Timeclock software
      • Facility Phone system
