Job Description
- Req#: 16544
- Ensure safe work environment for self and others by complying with all safety rules, requirements, and programs, as well as making suggestions to improve safety of the facility and personnel.
- This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Fort Smith, AR QRMP accountability document.
- Support plant Quality, high performance culture and continuous improvement programs through active participation in QRMP, Quality Management Systems and plant productivity programs
- Manage external vendors performing electrical maintenance work in the facility.
- Monitor and drive KPI’s.
- Champion the equipment planning/PM process within planning area. Delegate and assign planned work orders and PM within area as needed.
- Hold daily/weekly team meetings for continuous electrical maintenance improvement.
- Be able to carry out responsibilities in a team environment.
- Work with supervisor to schedule training.
- Work with customer for cost analysis.
- Champion computerized maintenance systems and provide training when needed (i.e., SAP, etc.)
- Must train back up individual for position.
- Order material or parts when necessary.
- Assist in managing electrical maintenance activities, continuous improvements ideas, and solving problem areas.
- Work with logistics and manufacturing to schedule appropriate people and resources when equipment is not in use.
- Provide high level of service for customers and focus on ways to improve service of electrical maintenance team.
- Management reserves the right, as it deems necessary to assign jobs on a temporary basis in any manner that supports efficient plant operations.
- Educational level of High School graduate or GED equivalent required
- Advanced education in Engineering, Electrical, and/or Leadership is preferred
- Professional communication skills: Oral, Written, Interpersonal, Phone Communications and Excellent Customer Service
- Currently a qualified electrician license in the Fort Smith facility or equivalent experience.
- Must possess the ability to fully utilize computerized maintenance systems or learn through plant and corporate resources (i.e., SAP, Microsoft Project, etc.).
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Standard Office equipment operation.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Web based computer systems. Must be able to perform required SAP functions based on 14 day, 30 day, 60 day and 90 day training schedule.
- Manage multiple complex tasks
- Must demonstrate organizational, leadership, and time management skills.

- Able to walk, stand, and sit for the duration of shift
- Performs bending, squatting, kneeling, sorting, and reaching to both ground level and overhead
- Wear all Required Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, to perform job tasks
- Ascend/Descend stairs and ladders throughout shift
- Lift up to up to 50 pounds independently, and heavier weights with assistance
- Able to give and understand instructions and hold conversations in manufacturing environment, as well as an office or classroom setting
- Communicate with co-workers face to face, radio, and phone.
- Must possess manual dexterity necessary to operate equipment, disassemble and reassemble equipment, operate a computer and other standard office equipment
- Utilize phone and email for communication
