      Rotational Program Analyst
      The Rotational Program Analyst participates in a comprehensive rotational program that combines senior leadership interaction and cross-business experience with real life situations and projects. This job works with financial services technology platforms and tools and learns techniques, disciplines and processes to become more familiar with financial services. Each rotation is designed to improve business knowledge and build an overall understanding of the company. This job is assigned a mentor who provides ongoing coaching and feedback.

      PROGRAM OVERVIEW: The Nuveen Asset Management (NA) Track within Nuveen offers an exciting mix of strategically aligned assignments, professional development, and the ability to experience and gain exposure to many facets of our organization. The environment is challenging, hands-on, and full of growth opportunities.

      Candidates can expect to work with financial services platforms and tools and will learn the techniques, disciplines, and processes that deliver the highest quality results to our clients.

      Rotational assignments are employed during the program to begin your career in building an understanding of the global asset management business and be able to experience cross-asset class proficiency.

      PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: As an Asset Management - Advisory Services Associate in the Early Talent Rotational Program, you will be tasked with utilizing academic knowledge, skills, and experience to apply tactics and strategies to solve real business challenges for a mission-driven asset management organization.

      This program is a 2-year rotational program. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to experience up to four professional rotational experiences within the areas such as Distribution, Product, Equities & Fixed Income, Business Strategy, and Marketing. You will have unique networking opportunities and access to Nuveen Senior Leadership; experience ongoing personal and professional development opportunities and participate in financial services and behavioral-based training. The program begins in June 2024.

      ROTATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES: NAM aligns and focuses our professionals who develop, market, and sell investment strategies and solutions to clients to understand their needs and empower them with investments, insights, and best-in-class service resulting in optimal financial outcomes. NAS business areas include Strategy and Business Management, Product, Distribution/Sales, Solutions, and Marketing. Assignments will be in one of these areas.

      Job responsibilities will vary based on your rotation and may include the following:

      Strategy & Business Management:

      • Conduct competitor/industry research and operational financial analysis in order to assist in setting the strategic vision, direction, and near-term priorities for Nuveen.
      • Identify, frame, and implement specific strategic initiatives that are critical to the success of Nuveen’s overall strategy
      • Develop and monitor cascading metrics and goals for business areas aligned with the strategic plan
      • Assist in developing and delivering concise communication materials for senior management

      Distribution – Global Learning & Development:

      • Assist in the design of asset class educational pieces that align with strategic product priorities; develop and maintain Nuveen-specific asset class library for on-demand access
      • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with various departments to implement sales campaign priorities and tactical initiatives
      • Analyze the success of Global Learning & Development programs across each business area
      • Participate in and help assess the current state of current education programs in order to build mastery of Nuveen investment strategies and develop future enhancements
      • Partner with subject matter experts to develop educational primers for key asset classes and areas of focus for the firm
      • Work together with senior team members to develop and deliver best practices regarding products, market knowledge, selling skills, and leading, managing, and coaching
      • Create additional resources to educate the sales force on areas of future growth and development for the firm

      Marketing:

      • Assist with projects and content entry supporting the evolution of website(s), landing pages, microsites, etc., and other online touchpoints
      • Work with developers, designers, and content owners on site enhancements and new content requested by business owners
      • Build relationships with key stakeholders - specifically between the product marketing, communications & demand generation teams and in addition to our technology partners
      • Learn and become proficient with different systems supporting the website (CMS, JIRA, Admaster, and Analytics tools)

      Product:

      • Become an expert on Nuveen’s investment strategies and products, serving as a resource for Nuveen’s internal partners
      • Assist in evaluating Nuveen’s products relative to competitor investment strategies and preparing competitive analyses
      • Engage Nuveen’s internal distribution partners, and participate in sales calls as needed in order to effectively position product opportunities
      • Assist Product Managers with new product initiatives ranging from initial design, economic modeling, and market acceptance through to public launch
      • Collaborate with Marketing to educate advisors and internal sales teams on new and existing products
      • Leverage multiple analytics tools and systems
      • Serve as the contact point for other areas of the firm seeking various product information/data
      • Support creation of product presentations and conduct special research projects

      Solutions:

      • Support Client Solutions team members in the creation of product and customized mandate presentations, performance commentaries, thought leadership, and various other training materials
      • Assist in developing RFP/RFI responses for new business development opportunities for different multi-asset solutions (e.g. model portfolios, multi-asset products, customized mandates)
      • Work with Portfolio Solutions team members by running portfolio analytics, providing product and asset class positioning points, and product comparisons
      • Develop and maintain Nuveen Solutions-specific metrics that are aligned with team goals
      • Engage with key stakeholders in Product, Marketing, and Distribution to identify and promote Solutions capabilities
      • Collaborate with all parts of the Nuveen Solutions Team to better understand multi-asset portfolios, portfolio construction, and the team’s investment process

      REQUIRED SKILLS:

      • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree: Finance, Economics, Accounting, and/or Business Management or related degree.
      • Minimum Overall GPA of 3.0
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook - at least 2 years of work or academic experience)

      Related Skills

      Base Pay Range: $80,000/yr. - $85,000/yr.

      Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
