- Identifies, delivers, and promotes Pre K-12 next practices.
- Designs, organizes, and coordinates the alignment of comprehensive curriculum, instruction, and assessment efforts.
- Provides support for school improvement through district-level and site-based training to equip staff with necessary information, skills and/or processes that allow for intentional, data driven, instructional decision-making.
- Coordinates and supports content learning communities as they work with the implementation of a comprehensive curriculum.
- Coordinates the curation of openly licensed educational resources.
- Supports and develops Curriculum Council members to lead their colleagues through the understanding and implementation of district strategic initiatives.
- Develops and delivers the New Teacher Induction Professional Development cohort.
- Provides oversight for special projects as they relate to curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Designs, organizes, and delivers professional development for district staff members that enables the acquisition of the Board of Education goals and District Strategic Plan.
- Supports the 1:1 computing environment and the integration of technology as part of the curriculum.
- Assists and supports administrator collaborative teams to facilitate implementation of district strategic initiatives.
- Assists and supports Teaching and Learning Coaches to facilitate implementation of district strategic initiatives.
- Participates in continued professional development experiences aligned with Board of Education goals and district strategic initiatives.
- Regular and consistent attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Complies with all district rules, regulations, and policies.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
DISTRICT LEVEL INSTRUCTIONAL COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of 6-12 Academics
JOB GOAL: To collaborate with Academic Services and other district leadership to provide support services to administrators and teachers in the development and implementation of curriculum, assessment, and the improvement of instruction to improve student learning.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to travel between district facilities. The position requires a moderate amount of travel and physical activity.
CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is consistent with typical office/school environment.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work calendar to be established by the Board Of Education. Benefits according to Board policies.
FLSA: Exempt
RETIREMENT: Public School Retirement System (PSRS)
CLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluations utilizing the Performance Based Administrator Evaluation process.
