The Teaching and Learning Coach Institute (TLCI) is designed to help aspiring instructional coaches develop the skills and capacity needed for a successful and fulfilling career as an instructional leader. We believe in “growing our own” and nurturing teacher leaders from within our district’s current, talented staff. Through this year-long program, participants will study instruction through the following lenses:

• Pedagogy/Practices
• Leadership
• Coaching
• Data

Qualifications

To be considered, you must meet the following qualifications:

• All applicants must have at least 5 years of classroom experience.
• A record of strong performance in current role.
• A master’s degree in teaching or current enrollment in such a program is preferred.

Application Instructions

If you are interested in being a candidate for the 2025-26 Teaching and Learning Coach Institute, complete the following application steps by the end of the day, Friday, May 2, 2025:

• Writing Prompts: Answer all writing prompts thoroughly to introduce yourself to the selection panel effectively. Incomplete writing samples will not be considered for the program.
• Supervisor Recommendation Form: In place of recommendation letters, all applicants must also have a direct supervisor complete the TLCI Recommendation Form, which can be found at this link [Click Here]. If you are applying for the institute, please share this form with your supervisor in a timely manner so that it is completed by May 2.
