      Req#: 210521755

Earn your undergraduate degree while working in our business alongside our industry experts. We’re looking for highly motivated students in their last year of school or in college who have an interest in financial services and are looking to get ahead in their careers.

As a Financial Services Apprentice in Edinburgh, you will embark on a four-year apprenticeship that offers a comprehensive introduction to the world of financial services. This opportunity will allow you to obtain a full Honors degree, industry-recognized qualifications, and valuable work experience.

You’ll develop your professional network, hear from senior leaders and learn from the best in the business. By applying your classroom learning to our business, you’ll have both the technical and practical skills to develop your career.

You’ll join one of our investment operations, technology, compliance or finance teams for four years—learning on the job as you learn in the classroom. Dedicated professionals will guide your classwork, while our business experts will help you develop and apply your skills.

In addition to classroom training, you’ll have a network of peers and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help you navigate the firm and to support you as you pursue your certifications and career.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will be awarded a full Honors degree in Business Management: Financial Services Finance from Heriot Watt University.

      Job responsibilities:

      • Participating in team projects, making a contribution to our business while applying the knowledge that you’re learning in the classroom.
      • Acquiring foundational knowledge and understanding of financial services business operations via virtual online learning and practical work within one of our specialist finance teams.

      Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

      • We require a minimum of BBBB (or equivalent), at Scottish Higher level (or equivalent). If there are extenuating circumstances and you do not meet these academic requirements you will have the opportunity to highlight this within your application.
      • Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills.
      • A continuous learning mindset.
      • A passion for a career within business operations and financial services.

If you have passed the exams already, please make sure to include your results within your CV as well.

We will be filling our classes on a rolling basis. We strongly encourage you to submit your application as early as possible before job postings close.
