What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist attorneys with legal efforts in local, state, federal, and international actions
- Conduct legal and evidentiary research to support ongoing cases
- Draft, review, and edit legal documents such as complaints, briefs, and motions
- Prepare for oral arguments and trials, contributing to case strategy
- Assist with document review and project management for various legal initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current law student enrolled in an accredited law school
- Strong research and writing skills, demonstrated through academic work
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, preferably during the summer
- Detail-oriented with a capacity for self-directed work
- Passion for environmental issues and commitment to youth advocacy
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with legal research and writing in a law school setting
- Interest or background in environmental law and climate change advocacy
- Previous volunteer or internship experience in legal or nonprofit sectors
- Familiarity with public interest law or youth advocacy initiatives
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
