What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to students with speech impairments
- Assist in developing and implementing individual therapy goals and activities based on students' Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Document student performance and maintain therapy records and required documentation
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to enhance students' oral and written language skills
- Support the speech-language pathologist in training special education staff and attending professional development workshops
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year institution
- Valid Texas license as a speech-language therapy assistant
- Completion of 50 clock hours of field experience for SLP-Assistant licensing
- Bilingual in Spanish (speak, read, write)
- Commitment to the mission and core values of the employer
