      Job summary

      An opportunity has arisen for an Applications Development Support Officer to work within the Applications Development Team of the Business Intelligence Department at Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

      The Applications Development Teams duties primarily include providing data warehouse management and maintenance, developing new systems and applications, supporting changes and new functionalities, working alongside other teams to ensure maintenance of SharePoint versions as well as creating and supporting eForms used across the Trust.

      The post holder will assist the team to manage application development projects. Other Duties will include liasing between application developers and business system owners.This post requires someone to work well as team and the ability to work on their own initiative.

      Main duties of the job

      To provide helpdesk services as the second line support for system issues and requests from service users, internal and external and maintain regular reporting on performance of the support provided.

      To assist with the development and support of existing and new clinical systems ensuring that data quality standards, security standards, audit requirements and data protection requirements are in place and maintained.

      Perform general systems housekeeping duties such as user accounts maintenance, data traffic cleansing and server checks.

      To assist in the development and maintenance of appropriate documentation relating to system support and management responsibilities in accordance with BHNFT standard system management model.

      To liaise with external/internal groups/suppliers including in relation to support and product development for clinical systems.
