Job Description

- Produce technical specification documents of product on behalf of Design Team for handoff to cross-functional partners and vendors to yield the highest quality finished products
- Capture direction for materials and color mixes to sample-applying to finished styles to achieve design intent and price point goals for overall collection
- Communicate design team goals to technical development team throughout product lifecycle
- Inspect designs-making recommendations for mass production viability and end customer ease of use/functionality with special consideration to maintain design intent
- Participate in spec review meetings with cross functional partners to ensure all technical specification documents and visual assortment sheets are accurate and clear
- Contribute to workflow tracking on Design workflow documents
- Participate in relevant meetings with Design team and cross-functional departments
- Collaborate with supervisor and team members to recommend and implement new or improved documentation as needed
- Champion the Kendra Scott design aesthetic, quality expectation and innovative mindset
- Develop 2D mockups of new jewelry styles as directed by 2D/Technical Design Supervisors
- Update 2D mockups of existing styles to conform to new design standards
- Create and update Assortment Sheets showcasing jewelry collections in development and publish to cross functional team
- Maintain a high level of communication and collaboration with supervisor and members of the design team to ensure continual progress toward timely, accurate and cohesive assortment completion
- Contribute sketches and inspiration during seasonal kick off times
- Must be organized, able to act independently, as well as take direction, and able to switch rapidly between different projects in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a clean, efficient and safe working environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Jewelry design or Product development field or equivalent job experience
- 5+ years jewelry design and development experience for a high growth company
- Knowledge of costume and fine jewelry construction-stone settings as well as working mechanisms including clasps and hinges
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- A proven ability to execute with consistent high quality on-time delivery
- Advanced problem-solving skills with an eye for technical detail
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent ability to communicate 3D information with a particular focus on production/manufacturing capabilities
