Job Description
- Req#: 12702
- Support role for a specific warehouse operational area and provides floor leadership to warehouse associates
- Communicates project instructions to warehouse associates
- Represent management while working warehouse floor to ensure compliance to procedures and corporate operating protocol
- Act as go to person for warehouse associates that need advice and/or direction on operational procedures
- Makes recommendations for process improvements
- Process goods for specific area of operations as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor. This includes but is not limited to: handling, lifting, sorting, scanning, picking, pricing, packaging, boxing, and processing inventory as required by corporate policy and procedure.
- Perform required tasks that identify, select and prepare goods for distribution
- Sort, inspect, and repackage goods as assigned
- Move trash and other waste to appropriate waste containers
- Count goods, as required in a timely and accurate manner
- Remove labels or other markings as required during processing
- Complete work accurately and in a timely manner to ensure productivity and safety metrics are met on a daily basis.
- Follow guidelines for team lifting when appropriate
- Assisting in other department processes as needed
- Perform other miscellaneous duties/tasks as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor/Manager
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Stable work history
- Bilingual a plus
- Must be able to pass background check
- Basic reading and math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Able to use RF scanner gun
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to meet production and accuracy standards in a fast paced work environment
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
- Pay Type Hourly
- Min Hiring Rate $16.00
