      Reports to: Director of Distribution Network Operations

      FLSA Status: Exempt

      Worksite Status: Onsite

      Summary

      The primary function of this position is to be the lead liaison for Carhartt with the 3PL partner at Memphis distribution center. This role will provide operational oversight of the 3PL utilized for storage of finished goods, replenishment to RCV, and customer order fulfillment. Ensure accuracy and provide guidance to Carhartt operations, and support while ensuring timely and efficient shipment of finished goods to Carhartt internal customers, wholesale and industrial customers and consumers. Manage Carhartt Distribution and Logistics processes to meet service level agreements, budgetary and customer requirements.

      Responsibilities

      • Management of 3PL operating budget and Key Performance Indicators to recognize gains and identify targets for savings and performance improvement for each distribution channel that ships from the 3PL.
      • Develop and maintain forecasts and cost models derived from coverage and capacity planning.
      • Develop Carhartt processes to support operational activity at the 3PL. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations, and procedures. Provide support where necessary to ensure quality and accuracy of work performed.
      • Report daily on units received, orders processed orders/units allocated, units picked, units staged and units shipped for the previous day including open tasks.
      • Manages communication to 3PL between Customer Service, Order Management, and Sales.
      • Manage with Carhartt’s inbound and outbound transportation service providers and manage local carrier relationships and scheduling.
      • Manage 3PL provider to ensure product is flowing on a daily basis to meet customer requirements
      • Reconcile 3PL invoices with Finance
      • Prioritize receipts and replenishment tasks processed and shipped by the 3PL.
      • Manage the consumables supply at the 3PL, i.e. cartons, tape and supplies and coordinating with Carhartt’s Indirect Procurement team for replenishment.

      Education

      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Supply Chain Management or Related Field

      Required Skills and Experience

      • Minimum 7 years’ experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain
      • Experience dealing with stakeholders, senior management, and external influencers.
      • Experience with Parcel, LTL and FTL shipping modes preferred
      • Proficient in Microsoft Office
      • SAP operating experience preferred
      • WMi experience preferred
      • Outstanding organizational skills
      • Excellent attention to detail
      • Excellent analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills
      • Heavy travel initially required; frequent travel ongoing
