      We are now looking for a creative and passionate A&R Lead to join the Music team in New York.

      How you will make an impact;

      As an A&R Lead, you will enable the A&Rs to coach our artists, who write and produce music for our catalog. In this role, you will be a people manager and support our A&Rs to find, nurture, and maximize artists to offer them the opportunity to partner with us to work, develop, and earn money from their music while soundtracking the globe. You will be responsible for each part of the musician experience including scouting, signing, music review and relationship management, release planning, and execution through your employees as their Lead.

      Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

      • Facilitate and support A&Rs from a company standpoint. Getting people together, working towards the same goal, and deliver in a timely manner.

      • Taking care of the A&Rs workload and making sure the team delivers in a scalable and sustainable manner.

      • Being able to motivate people, being agile, and keeping the energy up in yourself and your team.

      • Oversee all aspects of the creative process - from demo to master, provide comprehensive feedback and make sure production runs smoothly and on schedule

      • Having lots of flexibility in how you work with your team, work directly with creative people, help them navigate our business, and be able to make an impact and shape things, being involved in strategic conversations.

      • Plan, coordinate and oversee a strategic roll out plan in collaboration with our Streaming department

      • Work closely with other internal teams such as Legal, Artist Services, Artist Engagement, Rights Management, Curation to ensure commercial success for assigned artist projects with an overview of the whole journey from ordering the track to releasing the track.


      Who you are;

      To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are as passionate about music creation as you are about music discovery. You have managerial experience, a few years of professional experience from the creative industry, and have a great interest in a wide variety of music genres. You have a superb work ethic, drive and passion for the artist journey, as well as top-notch organization skills, able to manage several employees and projects simultaneously.

      It would be music to our ears if you have;

      • A proven track record of being a people manager

      • Previous experience with managing rosters/artists

      • Professional background within a creative industry, preferably music production/songwriting

      • Understanding of the music market, current trends, the artist lifestyle and their way of thinking

      • Over-the-top passion for music

      • Broad connections in the music industry and creative environment. A network of musicians, artists, managers, influencers, and producers is a merit

      • Self-motivator with a real go-getter attitude

      • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills

      • Excellent at communicating and building relationships

      • Fluent in English, verbal and written

      Worth noting is that the job will be on-site in New York, requiring flexible hours to overlap with Epidemic Sound headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. It is a full-time position and you would be provided benefits such as dental, health, medical, and vision plan options, 30 days vacations a year accrual, 6 months parental leave, 401k saving, and wellness benefits. This position has a compensation span of 97,500-115,000 USD yearly.
