      Express Freighters Australia (EFA) is Qantas Freight’s wholly owned subsidiary freighter management company. Proudly flying in Qantas Freight livery, we provide aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance services to Australian air Express and Qantas Freight on long term contracts. EFA operates the A321, B737 and B767 aircraft and has recently introduced the A330 P2F aircraft into its fleet.

      As the A330 Training Manager, you are responsible for assisting in the leadership and management of Qantas Freight (EFA)’s Training and Checking activities for the Airbus A330. This include the development and implementation of training programs, policy and maintaining of standards for line operations, endorsement, recurrent, remedial and re-familiarisation programs on its fleet type. The position will also liaise with multiple stakeholder both internally and externally to the business to ensure that training programs are meeting SLAs and regulatory requirements.

      The A330 Training Manager will have all relevant fleet type Trainers reporting to them and will be able to oversee the entire operation and performance.

      Key responsibilities for the Training Manager include but not limited to:

      • Ensuring all aspects of Flight Crew training and checking is conducted safely, efficiently and in compliance with the company operations manual and documentation.
      • Ensuring sufficient personnel are provided to complete required training and checking of operating crew members and ensure the maintenance of standards.
      • Supervising the training of Training and Checking personnel.
      • Monitoring the standards of all EFA Check and Training Pilots and operational standards of Flight Crew.
      • Coordination with rostering/crewing regarding the rostering of training and checking activities to ensure all training activities and proficiency checks are appropriately rostered and conducted in time to ensure continued validity.
      • Develop, deliver and maintain all pilot licence-related training programs.
      • Review of company policy related to training and checking, making recommendations for the amendment of the Training and Checking Manual and associated documents to reflect amended policy.
      • Monitor FOQA data information, analyse and develop procedures or training sequences in response to data trends for individual fleet.
      • Maintain a register of/and review type courseware as defined in the TACM.

      You’ll have:

      • A330 Type Rating on CASA Licence
      • Experience as Check and Training pilot on Airbus Fly-by-Wire aircraft
      • Proven management experience in a Check and Training Pilot capacity
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Demonstrated people leadership capability
      • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and standards pertaining to Airbus fly-by-wire aircraft
