What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with ABA providers and their billing teams to collect accurate patient information and communicate authorization decisions
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits, completing prior authorizations using insurance portals or direct calls to insurers
- Manage multiple prior authorizations simultaneously while ensuring top performance
- Understand ABA-specific workflows, including treatment plans and re-authorizations
- Share insights with product and engineering teams to help automate the prior authorization process
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong understanding of insurance policies and ABA billing processes
- Minimum of 3 years of experience completing prior authorizations for ABA services, with at least 2 years specifically in ABA/Autism
- Familiarity with payor portals and experience in communicating with payors
- Strong work ethic with the ability to operate with urgency, work independently, and be highly organized
- Detail-oriented with effective multitasking skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with provider software, including Electronic Medical Record Systems (EMR/EHR) like CentralReach and Rethink
