      UTSC Management is a world leader in providing business education that is heavily influenced by experiential learning and internationalization.       Your opportunity:

      We are looking for a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as an Academic and Administration Team Lead. Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Operations and Finance, this role will oversee the operational workflow for academic processes such as course scheduling, sessionals, invigilators, teaching assistants, and examination cycles. The incumbent will not only ensure that processes are adhered to but also play a key role in developing, revising and operationalizing business processes to enhance service, efficiency and productivity. Leveraging strong organizational, technical and project management skills, the incumbent will develop charters, scopes, metrics and schedules for assigned projects and assess the feasibility of different implementation solutions. This role will also be accountable for annual metrics to support effective administrative decision making and developing and maintaining standard operating procedures for training and operating purposes. The incumbent will provide direction to a group of staff-appointed team members for the purpose of responding to client business needs and meeting the academic administrative goals of the department.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Lead project initiatives by planning and implementing project phase and developing charter, scope, resources and schedule for projects
      • Analyzing processes and recommending changes for more efficient coordination of operations
      • Analyzing and recommending changes to academic calendar content and processes
      • Advising on the creation of efficiencies for business processes and productivity
      • Advising on cost, feasibility and impact of different implementation solutions
      • Developing and editing standard operating procedures
      • Overseeing space and resource requirements for programs
      • Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with senior management and colleagues to gain approval for strategies and plans

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
      • Minimum of six to seven years of progressive and relevant experience in leading academic operational processes and workflow
      • Supervisory or team lead experience with demonstrated experience leading operational workflows and leading process improvements
      • Strong project management skills with experience planning and implementing project phases, including developing project charters, scopes, metrics, resources and schedules
      • Familiarity with financial management principles with goodbudgeting practices
      • Proficient technical skills including, databases, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.) as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro
      • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to analyze processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend changes to enhance efficiencies
      • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to foster and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders including faculty, staff and students
      • Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to facilitate consultations, presentations, and workshops
      • Strong time management and organizational skills with ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multifaceted, concurrent projects and tasks
