      Job Title:

      Academic Vice Dean, Regional Campus

      Physical Location:

      Salary:

      $106,000 - $134,000

      Basic Function:

      To manage the day-to-day academic operations of one or more regional campuses and to advise the Regional Campus Dean on academic and related matters. Reports to desgnated Dean(s), Regional Campus.

      Additional Basic Function – if applicable:

      Examples of Duties:

      Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:

      Assist with operational academic administration of one or more regional campuses to include implementation of policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and personnel administration and development.

      Coordinate new initiatives in conjunction with faculty, staff, and governance bodies.

      Oversee operational program areas as appropriate to the campus (e.g., developmental education center, tutoring, libraries, etc.).

      Recruit faculty in coordination with regional campus dean, Course Scheduling and Assignment Administrator, colleges, faculty, and faculty governance bodies.

      Develop reports and maintain records.

      Serve on campus, regional campus system, and University committees.

      Engage with campus and system-wide faculty governance bodies; serve as the Regional Campus Dean's representative with campus faculty governance as appropriate.

      Leadership of units, or major functions and/or direct supervision over administrative/professional employees.

      Serve as a resource to students, (i.e., provide information about the complaint policy, grading assignments, etc.).

      Perform related duties as assigned.

      Additional Examples of Duties – if applicable:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      Master's degree in a relevant field; Doctoral degree preferred; four year’s experience teaching at the higher education level.

      License/Certification:

      Knowledge Of:

      Academic programs; personal computer applications; budgeting; strategic planning *

      Skill In:

      Written and interpersonal communication *

      Ability To:

      Provide leadership and direction *
