What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, follow-ups, and diagnostic tests
- Manage pre-op and post-op visits for various procedures
- Work collaboratively with providers to manage complex care plans across specialties
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and clinical teams to ensure effective communication
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED plus 2 years of customer service or healthcare experience
- Ability to perform all duties of the Access Coordinator I and II levels
- Basic proficiency with computers and data entry (MS Office preferred)
- Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Healthcare Access Associate (CHAA) Certification
- Experience with external radiology testing
- Knowledge of CPT codes and medical terminology
- Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare registration or scheduling role
