What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a patient resource for scheduling and billing inquiries
- Record daily and monthly statistics and address any medical records issues
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, surgeries, and tests using hospital systems
- Conduct insurance verification and benefits explanations for patients
- Collect and post payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily deposits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED with three (3) years of experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
- Strong communication skills and basic computer skills, including telephone etiquette
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Ability to perform duties of Access Coordinator I & II levels
