What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a patient resource for scheduling and billing inquiries, ensuring a smooth patient experience
- Schedule and coordinate appointments, surgeries, and tests using hospital systems
- Conduct insurance verifications, process pre-authorizations, and maintain patient records
- Collect and post payments, providing financial counseling to patients as needed
- Record statistics and communicate any medical records issues to ensure efficient operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED with three (3) years of experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
- Strong communication skills and telephone etiquette
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Proficiency in computer and basic keyboard skills
- Ability to handle general office machines, including printers and scanners
