- Support field positions by addressing complex resident questions and concerns.
- Oversee and manage Deposit Accounting.
- Review general ledger activity bi-monthly for correct coding and recognition.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for properties and company summaries.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information and correct errors or discrepancies.
- Verify financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Maintain mortgage and notes payable transactions.
- Assist in the preparation and input of annual operating budgets for properties.
- Review journal entries and reconcile monthly balance sheets per property.
- Proficiency in accounting principles, general ledger, reconciliation, month-end processes, journal entry, accounts payable, and financial statement preparation.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred.
- Leadership experience of two or more years.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and verbal communication in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite including SharePoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
- Prior property management experience in a multi-family environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with federal, state, and jurisdictional laws and regulations concerning multi-family housing, Fair Housing, and team member safety.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, manage time, and possess an orientation toward details.
Job Title: Accountant
Job Description
The Accountant will serve as a support resource for field positions, addressing complex resident questions and concerns. The role involves overseeing and managing Deposit Accounting, reviewing all general ledger activity bi-monthly to ensure transactions are correctly coded and recognized. Additionally, the Accountant will prepare monthly financial statements for properties and company summaries, ensure accuracy and completeness, and correct any errors or discrepancies. The position requires verifying financial transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and maintaining mortgage and notes payable transactions. Assistance in the preparation and input of annual operating budgets for properties and reviewing journal entries are also key components of this role.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
