What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and transmit accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns to jurisdictions
- Manage state registrations and de-registrations, and reconcile payments made on behalf of clients
- Communicate proactively with clients to resolve sales tax questions and concerns
- Collaborate with the assigned accounting manager and other team members
- Utilize strong Excel and technology skills to troubleshoot issues independently
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in accounting
- Strong technological proficiency and ability to learn new programs quickly
- Confident written and verbal communication skills for client interaction
- Eagerness to learn about eCommerce sales tax accounting
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with QuickBooks or familiarity with state and federal sales tax laws
- Knowledge of sales tax software (i.e., Avalara, TaxJar) is a significant plus
