      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform account analysis and prepare account reconciliations and journal entries for multiple departments and funds
      - Assist with audit processes and the development of the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR)
      - Review and approve Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions for compliance with policies
      - Support departments with financial analysis and the development of Capital Improvement Projects
      - Prepare and file financial and budget reports to state and federal agencies as assigned

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
      - Minimum of three (3) years of accounting or finance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
      - Knowledge of government accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting
      - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
      - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Two (2) years of experience with municipal budgets, annual reports, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and GASB
      - Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables
      - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO) licensure
      - Experience with tax settlements, reconciliations, and grant funding
      - Familiarity with finance computer applications
