What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Record monthly journal entries, perform reconciliations, and complete month-end tasks as assigned
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly close duties
- Follow documented procedures to maintain compliance with US GAAP
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and participate in external audits and year-end tax returns
- Establish strong working relationships within the accounting department and across departments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting function
- Experience in a senior living environment highly desired
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams) and accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
