      Position Summary:

      The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records. This role involves entering accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), project setup information, assisting with tax filings, intake, distribution & filing of mail and email, and tracking tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Data Entry:

        • Enter invoices, bills, and other financial documents into the accounting system.
        • Input accounts receivable and accounts payable information accurately.
        • Assist with entering data for project setup and tracking.
        • Maintain up-to-date and accurate financial records and documentation.

      • Filing and Documentation:

        • Organize and file financial documents systematically.
        • Retrieve and manage documents as needed for reference and audits.
        • Ensure all documentation is stored securely and confidentially.

      • Tracking and Reporting:

        • Assist in tracking the status of various financial tasks and projects.
        • Provide regular updates and reports to the Senior Accounting Supervisor.
        • Maintain tracking systems to ensure all tasks are completed on time.


        Qualifications:

        • Education:

          • High school diploma or equivalent required.
          • Some college coursework in accounting or related field preferred.

        • Experience:

          • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clerical or data entry role, preferably in an accounting environment.

        • Skills:

          • Familiarity with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
          • Must be able to type proficiently.
          • 10-key preferred.
          • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
          • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
          • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
          • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
          • Basic understanding of accounting principles is a plus.
