What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Ensure the integrity of financial data in compliance with federal, state, and local accounting standards
- Collaborate on projects, performing special reviews, reports, and analyses for business ventures or programs
- Manage accounts payable tasks including vendor invoice entry, payment processing, and expense reimbursements
- Support day-to-day fiscal operations, including program and grant accounting to ensure compliance with budgets
- Assist with purchase order tracking and cash management activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Prior experience in accounting or bookkeeping
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and project management
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in spreadsheet applications and ability to work independently
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Two or more years of experience in an accounting or business analyst role
- Experience in nonprofit, workforce, or economic development sectors
- Expertise in grants management or fund-based accounting
- Familiarity with the Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT accounting system
