      Department Overview:

      The REALTORS® Association of South Central Wisconsin (RASCW) has been an active trade association for more than 100 years, and is comprised of REALTORS® and Affiliate members providing real estate related services to home buyers and sellers across south central Wisconsin. RASCW has members conducting business from more than 800 offices in 10+ counties throughout the area. The primary purpose of RASCW is to serve its members by providing programs and benefits that assist them to successfully conduct their business with a vision of the future, and with the highest degree of professionalism and cooperation. In addition, RASCW and its members work to protect and promote home ownership and real estate investment throughout south central Wisconsin.

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      About the Role

      We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Intern to support the accounting and finance team with daily financial operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial reporting, and data analysis while working in a professional office environment. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, organized, and interested in pursuing a career in accounting or finance.

      Responsibilities

      • Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
      • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
      • Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
      • Assist with preparing financial reports and summaries
      • Enter and review invoices, expenses, and journal entries
      • Organize and maintain digital and physical accounting records
      • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
      • Assist with audits, budgeting, and financial analysis projects
      • Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned

      Qualifications:

      Qualifications

      • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
      • Basic understanding of accounting principles
      • Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software preferred
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
      • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
      • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
      • Strong organizational and communication skills
      • Willingness to learn and take initiative
