      Position Summary
      The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in overseeing financial operations, including budgeting, cash management, financial reporting, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, corporate reporting, and payroll. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting functions while providing leadership to the accounting team.

      Key Responsibilities

      • Supervise, train, and support the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Invoice Reconciliation teams
      • Oversee daily closing, reconciliation, and cash requirements processes
      • Prepare and post month-end adjusting entries for financial close
      • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts monthly, including all intercompany transactions
      • Prepare and submit Alcohol Excise Tax Reports
      • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, and year-end) in accordance with GAAP
      • Supervise the workflow of a five-person accounting team
      • Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures
      • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related issues
      • Partner with IT to address technology needs of the accounting department
      • Manage staffing needs, including recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations
      • Work with internal and external accountants for year-end close and audits
      • Develop the annual accounting department budget and conduct monthly variance analysis
      • Perform other duties as assigned

      Qualifications & Skills

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
      • Relevant work experience in accounting or financial management
      • Strong leadership and management experience
      • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      • Advanced proficiency in accounting software [ Quebit, VIP, Nexus ] and Microsoft Excel

      Physical Requirements

      • Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer
      • Occasional standing or walking to retrieve documents
      • Proficient typing and mouse usage for data entry and analysis
      • Clear vision (with or without prescription lenses) for prolonged screen work
      • Clear hearing (with or without aids) for in-person, phone, and virtual communication
