What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform "Three-Way Matching" by verifying invoices against purchase orders and receiving reports
- Accurately code expenses to the correct General Ledger (GL) accounts and departments
- Prepare and execute weekly payment runs in the ERP system via ACH, wire, and check
- Act as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving billing discrepancies
- Maintain organized digital archives of all payment records to ensure "audit-ready" status
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1–3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable roles
- Proficiency in Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs) and experience with accounting software (e.g., Workday, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or SAP)
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot discrepancies in high volumes of data
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with automated AP OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software
- Understanding of basic GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills for dealing with vendor disputes
