What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee a team of accounts payable professionals, providing mentorship and guidance on transactional activities
- Serve as a subject matter expert to resolve vendor escalations and ensure compliance with service level agreements
- Manage aged open payables and discrepancies, facilitating resolutions to mitigate financial exposure
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support vendor relationships and process changes
- Utilize analytics to monitor performance and recommend operational improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in a high-volume environment and large-scale ERP
- Experience in the full invoice lifecycle with a focus on three-way match and exception resolution
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of requests
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team while providing feedback to management
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including intermediate Excel skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of SAP ERP A/P systems, Python, Zendesk, and Appian
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to convert insights into actionable improvements
- Experience in managing the invoice lifecycle in retail, manufacturing, or distribution
