What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare, review, and analyze expenditure reports and monthly allotment status reports
- Research and analyze vendor accounts to ensure compliance with regulations
- Prepare correspondence to vendors regarding disputed matters
- Perform special accounting studies and prepare unique management reports as requested
- Provide customer service functions for DMV units and outside agencies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must pass a Background Investigation prior to hire
- Eligible for appointment and must take and pass examination
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Experience or education related to accounting principles as outlined in the Class Specification
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role
- Familiarity with public sector accounting practices
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of California state financial regulations
