- The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 5 to 7% of your base salary. The Bank offers performance pay for those who exceed expectations (10% of your base salary).. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.

This position is responsible for the design and service delivery of account receivables processes required under the Retail Payments Supervision (RPS) Program, a new mandate under which the Bank of Canada supervises payment service providers’ (PSP) compliance with operational and financial requirements and maintain a public registry of regulated PSPs. The Program is currently scheduled to go live in mid-2024. The incumbent will have opportunities to build and evolve applicable programs/functions and implement improvements to the corporate payments landscape.What you will do
As the Accounts Receivable Lead, you will act as a Bank subject matter expert in the corporate payments function specific to accounts receivables and work with the senior manager of Corporate Payments and Travel team to establish this function. You will develop and continuously update procedures and policies to ensure they remain current and relevant with the industry developments and the Bank’s internal environment evolution. You will lead the creation of accounts receivable processes needed to support the Bank’s ability to levy fees and penalties on PSPs under the Program.This role is critical to the implementation of standardized, streamlined, and transparent processes, that appropriately leverage the Bank’s systems and technology.
You will participate in small to medium projects related to accounts payable and receivable, including collaborating with IT on systems-related changes and improvements. You will build and manage relationships with third-party providers/clients and internal stakeholders for the relevant services and products as well as manage applicable contracts.
What you need to succeed
We are looking for a self-starter who is dynamic and has a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong relationship building and management skills as well as contract management and negotiation skills. You have a solid knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and the corporate payments industry, as well as excellent writing skills specifically in policy development, reports, recommendations, and briefing notes.You demonstrate problem solving, solution seeking, and change management skills and you also possess solid accounting skills and knowledge of sales tax rules, as well as researching, benchmarking and staying current with the industry developments.
