What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Follow up on outstanding insurance claims and resolve issues with insurance carriers
- Maintain accurate aging reports of accounts and perform AR analysis
- Stay informed on billing and medical policies for all payers
- Review and process appeals to protest denials or incorrect payments
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve claims payment issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of experience managing Accounts Receivable and direct follow up with payers
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD10, CPT, HCPCs coding, and HIPAA requirements
- Experience working with commercial, government, and state insurance payers
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2 years of experience with data processing and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, with insurance payers and internal company communications
