What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process dental claims for payment by insurance companies, ensuring accurate coding, billing, and collections
- Perform manual and electronic posting functions for all payors/patient accounts, including cash balancing and reconciliation
- Research and resolve claims that have been rejected or denied by insurance, ensuring accurate follow-up
- Answer patient billing questions and provide resources for billing inquiries
- Maintain ledger accuracy and integrity of accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in dental or medical settings
- Prior experience in dental office workflows and revenue cycle functions, including insurance verification and payment posting
- Proficiency in practice management software systems and strong intermediate PC skills, particularly in Excel
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
