What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in healthcare actuarial analyses under the supervision of senior actuarial staff
- Perform projections, pricing, reserving, and other analyses using Excel, SAS, Teradata, Tableau, and other tools
- Develop and present results of analyses to senior actuarial staff and insurance division executives
- Participate in the development of actuarial models and reports to support team growth
- Provide support for IBNR estimates, financial reporting, and rate adequacy studies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business, Finance, or Healthcare Administration
- Must have passed at least 1 actuarial exam
- Proficiency in data analysis software, specifically spreadsheets (e.g., MS Excel, VBA), data extraction (e.g., SAS, Teradata, R), and data visualization (e.g., Tableau)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Two or more years of actuarial experience in healthcare
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) designation
