What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, perform, or support trend analysis in actuarial work
- Conduct pricing, underwriting support, reserving, and forecasting for Specific and Aggregate Stop Loss, as well as Level Funding
- Develop pricing models and support pricing requests, including benefit adjustment factors and fee schedule analysis
- Collect and analyze data for financial and utilization analysis, reporting, and monitoring
- Lead meetings with business partners to provide transparency in actuarial analyses and results
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field
- Minimum of 4+ years of actuarial and/or statistics experience
- Associate level in the Society of Actuaries (ASA) preferred
- Experience in health insurance preferred
- Strong working knowledge of data analysis and actuarial principles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Stop Loss or Level Funded products
- Knowledge of the reinsurance industry
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with Access or other database applications
- Experience with SAS or other programming languages
- Strong leadership skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities
