What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and conduct analyses for loss reserve and funding for insurance companies and self-insured corporations
- Write reports summarizing project findings and providing recommendations to clients
- Interact directly with clients and other vendor partners
- Delegate project tasks and manage overall project execution
- Participate in industry marketing opportunities and comply with quality control guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or related field
- Credentialed Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
- Minimum of 10 years of professional work experience, including reserving for workers compensation and/or professional liability
- Experience presenting results to stakeholders
- Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with commercial lines reserving and/or large account pricing
- Experience preparing Statements of Actuarial Opinions for statutory insurance company Annual Statements
- Experience using reserving software, e.g., Arius
- Understanding of actuarial consulting workflow
- Experience supervising and/or mentoring staff
