Job Description
The purpose of this job is to investigate events involving Pilot Travel Centers LLC entities which may present either a liability exposure or damage to Pilot property.
Essential Functions
1. Investigate events presenting exposure to the company using the company’s virtues
2. Investigate events in which Pilot’s property has been damaged and pursue subrogation on behalf of the company
3. Manage, document, analyze, negotiate, and settle claims for resolution
4. Manage and control claim-related documentation including Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) related information
5. Manage a limited number of litigated claims to obtain a favorable outcome and resolution
6. Focus on loss prevention and hazard elimination during claims handling and propose initiatives to proactively minimize risks during weekly claims triage meetings
7. Provide reserve recommendation for internal claims and budgeting purposes
8. Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level.
9. Ensure all activities follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
10. Complete other duties as assigned.#LI-CR1
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent certification required
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
• Minimum three years’ experience in related work preferred
