- Perform review vendor-submitted compliance documentation for completeness, accuracy, and potential escalation to technical team.
- Input and maintain compliance data in merchandise databases & trackers and “chase” any incomplete documentation from vendors.
- Perform initial review, obtain technical review/approval for and track technical files or other compliance documents for third -party merchandise service contracts.
- Work with vendors, internal business unit clients and product teams to communicate product compliance policy, available resources, compliance status, and process information. Update compliance-related forms, vendor guidance docs and work instructions, and generate pre-formatted compliance reports (as required).
- Act as first point-of-contact for initial inquiries from NBCU business units for the NBCU PSC-Vetted Promotional Vendors program and perform six-month vendor check-ins.
- Maintain general PSC email box and act as initial point-of-contact for NBCU business units to field and/or escalate product compliance inquiries as part of the NBCU PSC. Assist management with PSC compliance projects for NBCU business units.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of relevant corporate business experience in the field of Merchandise, Product Safety, Product Development, Legal, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- 2+ years of recent experience with consumer product safety programs is strongly preferred
- Experience with licensed products is also preferred
JOB SUMMARY: Provides daily support for UPRGM and Product Safety Center product compliance programs and teams to help ensure that the domestic UPR theme parks, its applicable third-party partners and NBCU business units remain in compliance with all safety and legal compliance obligations as it relates to the development and distribution of branded or licensed retail products. The initial point-of-contact for the NBCUniversal Product Safety Center (PSC). Fields compliance process / policy questions and escalates technical or legal questions related to compliance of developed or custom-branded merchandise for NBCUniversal-owned/operated and licensed/affiliated business units.
