      Lea Vale Medical Group have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our expanding Admin Team. We are a busy medical practice located in Luton Town Centre and we have recently been rated outstanding by the CQC. The role is full time and has flexible working hours.

      Main duties of the job

      We are looking for someone to undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including scanning, completing tasks and identifying patients for review. You will process clinical correspondence safely and efficiently ensuring that it is accurately coded. You will ensure you pass appropriate issues to GPs and other members of the practice clinical team.

      Job responsibilities

      Processing practice correspondence, which includes coding clinical information.

      • Identify complex or higher risk areas that require input or knowledge from the clinical team. This includes safeguarding issues. You will work to the agreed practice protocols.
      • You will work closely with the practice administrators and clinical team to ensure that you are providing a safe and high quality service to the practice.
      • Liaise with external agencies such as secondary care, community service providers, solicitors and insurance companies as required.
      • Contact patients via phone to arrange appointments for review
      • To assist with all clerical and administrative duties within the administration department
