      SUMMARY

      The Administrative Assistant provides purchasing departmental administrative support. This role will support the entire purchasing team and will work under broad supervision. This position requires a high degree of initiative, follow-through, and organizational skills. Tasks will include, but are not limited to the following: compile data, run and distribute reports, identify and support continuous improvement projects (including automation), as well as facilitating the policies and procedures of the Purchasing Department.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Responsible for administrative duties within the Purchasing department including, but not limited to requisition and purchase order release, rework forms, setting up new suppliers according to proper procedures, and facilitating the distribution of procurement information to both internal and external customers as required.

      • Be able to screen and forward internal and external phone calls and visitors to the appropriate individuals within the company.

      • Review outgoing material and correspondence for accuracy and format.

      • Coordinate and complete specific projects, which may be confidential in nature. This may include research, data accumulation, and assimilation.

      • Will maintain the highest level of system access for the Purchasing department. Will need to be responsible for and show good judgment in using the security access.

      • Will be responsible for following all Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

      • Demonstrate leadership in the use of the corporate Purchasing web-based procurement system.

      • Miscellaneous administrative support duties will need to be performed regularly, including but not limited to; organize and maintain files, sort and distribute mail and faxes to appropriate individuals, order and maintain appropriate inventory level of office supplies and forms.

      • Will support the Vocational Business Segment 5-10% of time, including but not limited to reporting, schedule coordination, & other duties as assigned.

      • Other duties as assigned.

      BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

      • High School Diploma or Equivalent

      • Minimum 3 years of related experience.

      • Working knowledge MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills required.

      • Must have excellent grammar, proofreading skills, and organizational skills.

      • Customer service and communication skills required, along with the ability to exercise independent judgment while handling multiple tasks.

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

      • JD Edwards experience preferred.

      Pay Range:

      $39,600.00 - $60,600.00

      The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
