- Be responsible for providing administrative support to functional area(s), department manager(s) and/or staff
- Use automated office equipment and business applications as needed such as PowerPoint, Excel, expense management and travel booking software
- Act as an information source on organization policies and procedures
- Assist with onboarding new employees
- Screen calls, take and deliver messages, provide information to callers
- Manage calendar for two Senior Directors and two Directors as needed
- Plan and coordinate departmental events and travel
- Schedule recurring meetings with SVPs and EVPs
- Help plan and schedule quarterly business review meetings with strategic vendors
- Manage team meetings
- Requires a high school diploma or GED
- Requires at least 7 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires knowledge of core business applications Microsoft Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, and Concur
- Requires experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced, complex environment
- Requires experience working with Executive Assistants supporting SVP and EVP level executives
- Requires experience planning and coordinating events and travel

Your Role
The New Product team invents and develops new products and services to improve health care for Blue Shield's members. The Administrative Assistant, Specialist will report to the Senior Director, New Product. In this role you will be responsible for managing the calendar of two Senior Directors within the Product Strategy department as well as assist in calendaring events when needed for two additional Directors. The Administrative Assistant, Specialist will also plan and coordinate departmental events and travel for the Senior Directors. This position is based at our Oakland Office.
