      Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role your administrative and project work assignments will be complex in nature requiring absolute discretion, as well as considerable tact, judgment, creativity, and initiative in resolving issues.

      The Administrative Assistant will be primarily responsible for complex administrative support activities, supporting three Executive Directors and a Vice President, Strategy & Program Management of Commercialization (CMZ), reporting to the Vice President. We are open to discussions about location flexibility or remote work arrangements; however, due to the nature of the work co-location with the Deerfield, IL is preferred.

      Responsibilities include:

      • Provide administrative support to Vice President of Rare Disease, as well as the Executive Directors of General Medicine, Inflammation and Oncology Program Management managing calendars and scheduling meetings (Outlook) including across multiple time zones
      • Provide limited support for Directors from General Medicine, Inflammation, Oncology and Rare Disease Program Management
      • Ability to manage multiple Executives and prioritize time-sensitive matters
      • Coordinate local and international travel arrangements & preparing expense reports
      • Timely Registration for conferences, congresses, seminars, and internal meetings
      • Provide backup support to additional department Admins
      • Provide a full range of administrative support including managing complex calendars, scheduling high-level, time-sensitive meetings, managing travel arrangements, and completing expenses.
      • Provide support to ad hoc projects and reports as requested
      • Liaise with other company and CMZ department administrative staff
      • Handle documents of a confidential nature

      Basic Qualifications:

      Associate’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience

      Or

      2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience

      Or

      High school diploma / GED and 4 years of relevant experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Helpful, can-do attitude with a solution-oriented approach
      • Experienced and proficient with all current Amgen technologies and platforms
      • Strong proficiency in MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential.
      • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in communicating key business and critical information
      • 5+ years of experience in an administrative support role supporting large teams at different levels
      • Ability to liaise with cross-functional team members and effectively communicate with internal and external business partners
      • Exceptional at managing multiple calendars including coordination across multiple time zones
      • Ability to prioritize projects of greater urgency and importance
      • Bachelor’s degree

      69,158.00 USD - 87,196.00 USD
