      Job Summary :

      Under supervision, performs a variety of administrative duties in support of professional staff in assigned work group.

      Position information:
      This is a part-time unclassified position, limited to 980hours/fiscal year. Schedule may vary between 7 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

      1. Gathers information from various sources.
      2. Assists in the preparation of written reports and recommendations.
      3. Conducts basic surveys at the direction of full-time City staff.
      4. Provides information to the public, as directed.
      5. Drafts correspondence for the signature of others.
      6. Performs basic mathematical calculations.
      7. May drive to different locations to perform work, site inspections/surveys or attend meetings within and outside the City.
      8. Performs related duties as required.
      QUALIFICATIONS:
      A typical way to obtain the requisite qualifications to perform the duties of this class is as follows:

      Education and Experience :
      Equivalent to high school graduation and be currently enrolled in a college or university or other continued educational program, including vocational or certified training programs.

      Knowledge of :
      • Modern English usage.
      • Basic mathematics.
      • Personal computers and related software applications.

      Skill and Ability to :

      • Compile, review and evaluate data.
      • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
      • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
      • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.

    Education and Experience :

    • Research and analytical methods.
    • Personal computers and related software applications.
