- Proof of the highest education claimed on the job application - other than high school or G.E.D. (foreign degrees must have proof of equivalency from an accredited agency) - must be provided with the application, at the time of submission.
- Performs primary research of data for inclusion in reports and studies.
- Assists in the preparation of written reports and recommendations.
- Conducts surveys.
- Assists with file maintenance and data entry.
- Drafts correspondence.
- Assists in the development of manuals, forms and procedure handbooks.
- Maintains statistical records.
- Disseminates information to staff and the public.
- May drive to different locations to perform work, site inspections/surveys or attend meetings within and outside the City.
- Performs mathematical calculations.
- Operates personal computer.
- Performs related duties as required.
- Completion of sixty (60) semester units at a recognized college or university and must be currently enrolled in upper division courses at a recognized college or university. Some experience performing administrative or clerical work is desirable.
- Modern English usage.
- Mathematics, including statistics.
- Research and analytical methods.
- Personal computers and related software applications.
- Compile, review and evaluate data.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Learn City organization, operations, policies and objectives.

- Require vision (which may be corrected) to read small print.
- Perform work which is primarily sedentary.
- Are subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
- May be required to use personal vehicle in the course of employment.
- May be required to attend periodic evening meetings and/or to travel within and out of City boundaries to attend meetings.
- May be required to work evenings or weekends.

Position information:
This is a part-time unclassified position, limited to 980hours/fiscal year. Schedule may vary between 7 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday - Thursday.(These functions are representative and may not be present in all positions in the class.
