What You'll Do:Ohio Department of Public Safety - Ohio State Highway Patrol
Report In Location - 950 Rombach Ave, Wilmington 45177[CURRENTLY HYBRID ELIGIBLE] Will report into the office 3 days a week and telework 2 days a week. Subject to change.
Perform non-routine administrative tasks (e.g., independently composes confidential correspondence &/or reports in order to report information to Ohio State Highway Patrol General Headquarters (OSHP GHQ) (e.g., disciplinary actions, collective bargaining issues, work schedule adjustments); Review & summarize reports or correspondences on operations &/or personnel activities submitted by Patrol Posts to ensure accuracy prior to forwarding to GHQ; Act as person in charge over clerical office staff (e.g., ensure policies & procedures are reviewed by District Headquarters (DHQ) office staff); Ensure supervisor is aware of administrative related activities involving DHQ personnel.Perform secretarial tasks (e.g., administer & disseminate completed reports to proper sections; maintain calendar for supervisor; take notes or minutes of meetings; prepare payroll reports &/or timesheets; independently handle sensitive telephone calls; represent district staff at meetings; communicate decisions, directives &/or assignments to appropriate staff; serve as a liaison between patrol posts; handle special projects as assigned).
Perform other clerical duties (e.g., sort & route mail; answer phones, screen calls; greet visitors; order & stock supplies; coordinate the acquisition & maintenance of office machines (e.g., telephones, copiers, fax machine; computers); make copies; schedule meetings; prepare records retention & disposal schedules).
