7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Hourly Rate of Pay: $20.34-$26.88
Primary Duties: This position includes responsibility for entering and maintaining EMIS data required by the state. EMIS reporting must be completed on a strict timeline, is subject to state review, and directly impacts district funding-therefore, a high degree of accuracy and timeliness is essential.
The individual in this role is also responsible for coordinating all special education transportation, including the setup of routes and daily communication with multiple transportation providers to ensure student needs are met. These critical tasks are in addition to other required responsibilities within the Pupil Services Department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills : The ideal candidate must have strong customer service skills, work collaboratively within a team, and demonstrate a willingness to embrace challenges and continuously learn, all while maintaining strict confidentiality with information and records. This role requires proficiency in typing, bookkeeping, data entry, and software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Suite. The candidate must be able to manage email and internet correspondence effectively, possess strong verbal and written communication skills—especially in coordinating with the transportation department and school buildings—and operate copiers and other office equipment. Additionally, they should be able to follow instructions, maintain a positive disposition, and adapt to difficult or unexpected situations while working under pressure.
Characteristics/Traits : The ideal candidate must maintain a neat, professional appearance and demonstrate strong emotional control, a proactive approach, and an optimistic attitude. They should be self-motivated, punctual, and dependable in attendance, with a strong commitment to reliability and task completion. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, multitask effectively, and exercise sound discretion is essential. Candidates should also be in good physical and mental health and uphold high moral character while contributing positively to the workplace.
Education/Training : A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with PowerSchool and SameGoal is preferred. Additional coursework or job-related training is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should be highly self-motivated, possess exceptional organizational skills, and demonstrate the ability to manage tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment.
