      We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work as an Administrative Specialist within the DuPage County Facilities Management Department.

      DuPage County is an Equal Opportunity Employer Responsibilities include:
      • Responds to inquiries from the public about various recycling and sustainability topics
      • Maintains Environmental & Sustainability Division's section of the County's website and Recycle Coach app with events, announcements etc.
      • Prepare periodic email newsletter including developing layout and working with staff to identify and prepare content
      • Prepares agendas and meeting minutes for the DuPage County Board's Environmental Committee
      • Prepares print and digital marketing collateral; ensures consistent branding of materials
      • Assist staff with gathering information for sustainability plans and annual reports
      • Supports development of new outreach materials including but not limited to videos and brochures
      • Provides support and content to division's social media accounts
      • Assists Facilities Management and other County Departments as needed on sustainability initiatives and efforts
      • Communicates effectively and professionally to internal and external stakeholders through all platforms
      • Attends recycling and sustainability events
      • Review records and respond to Freedom of Information Act requests
      • Staffs recycling events including interacting with residents about the event including surveying residents about their participation. Events may be on weekends and are typically held outdoors, rain or shine (1 - 2x/year)
      Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:
      • Completion of a High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma equivalent
      • Four years of administrative support experience which includes an environment exposed to public contact
      A passing score on a basic Excel and Word test is required.

      A pre-employment background check is required.
