      Solid Waste Management provides trash collection service, hazardous waste removal, recycling, and a composting program for single family Denver homes and multi-family dwellings with up to seven units, municipal facilities, and Denver Public Schools. The agency’s Graffiti Removal Program removes graffiti from private and commercial property and the public Right-of-Way. The Keep Denver Beautiful campaign is housed in this agency. The Solid Waste Management team is looking for a ASA III to be apar of our team.

      The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $20.00-26.00 an hour. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but is not limited to:

      Location

      The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. This position may be potentially a hybrid position after probationary period.

      In this position you can expect to work on site at the Wastewater Building, 5 days a week.

      What You’ll Do

      The Solid Waste Management team has an opening for an Administrative Support Assistant III. Job duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

      • Manages approximately 40 inbound phone calls daily. Ability to use 2-way radio and respond to emails
      • Explains and clarifies rules, processes, and procedures, answers questions, and resolves a variety of problems accurately within a defined scope
      • Operates computer equipment to input accurate, valid, and complete data and to examine and evaluate a variety of information to determine correctness, completeness, and adherence with requirements. Verifies and corrects information as needed
      • Compile, organize, interpret, and communicate data and results concisely.
      • Typing and/or data entry with minimal errors.
      • Organizing and managing time effectively.
      • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits
      • Performs other related duties as assigned

      Required Minimum Qualifications

      • Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate.
      • Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of clerical experience.
      • Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirement.
