Logistics Administrative Support (117491-1)
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Tempe, AZ- 85284
Duration: 3 months
Hybrid: 2 days in, 3 days remote
Role may transition to fully on-site, pending desk space
Schedule: 40 Hours/Week, M-F, 8:30AM -5pm
M, T ONSITE
W, TH, F remote
Overtime Estimate: 10 Hours per week
Description
Performs a variety of administrative functions. Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, and takes dictation. Composes memos, transcribes notes, and researches and creates presentations. Generates reports, handles multiple projects, and prepares and monitors invoices and expense reports. May assist with compiling and developing the annual budget.
Requires a high school diploma with at least 2- 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May direct and lead the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects
BG:
Team is actively working cases from their shippers stating that their shipment was not picked up (amongst other things)
Their job is to make sure they utilize the tools that they have to find the truth in that (I.E was the shipment picked up, was it a shipper/carrier caused defect)
Making sure they have someone who will pick up the freight once resolved
Work with the carriers to schedule pick up appointments to make sure freight gets picked up and delivered in a timely manner
Expectations in each shift (ONCE FULLY RAMPED UP)
Anywhere between 50-60 cases per day and that is volume based as well.
Reason: Backfill and attrition and peak volume.

Interaction Level:
-- Managers/leads schedule sync ups daily, daily meetings, follow ups with contractors (coaching's/trainings whenever needed not scheduled), HM does bi weekly follow up with contractors)
-- HM to help contractors with any struggling aspects
Extension/Conversion?:

- Team runs assignment with 3 month trial, if great candidate will be extended past 3 months

Qualifications:

-- 2-5 years' experience within transportation or supply chain management field
